Full course description

Students will review the impact of addiction on families with attention to the risk and protective factors, behavioral patterns, and social contexts of addiction. Theories of change, family-focused interventions, and community support resources will be addressed. This course prepares students to use theory, research and knowledge of intervention approaches to make informed, knowledgeable decisions when working with individuals, couples and families dealing with a variety of addictions.
